Potters Bar
Overview
We embarked on a roof and guttering correction for this 1980s-1990s office building to help our client avoid an expensive replacement, as well as installing a brand-new window to bring more natural light into the space.
The Brief
Our client came to us with this largescale project after realising their roof had been incorrectly installed. We came up with a cost-effective solution to correct the felt, valleys and hidden gutter and avoid a complete roof replacement. We were also asked to cut out and install a new aluminium window to create a bright and airy atmosphere.
The Solution
The team started off big, setting up the scaffolding around the building and resources to kick off this project with a new window and corrected roof. After liaising with the client’s surveyor, we began to de moss and repair sections of the roof, added new guttering and downpipes, and decorated the facias and soffits.
We then prepped the meeting room by emptying the space and taking down all the media items like mounted televisions, as well as large appliances like the air conditioning unit, and stored them safely out of the way. Once the floors and walls were protected, the team began to cut into the wall and install a beautiful new window in the meeting room to welcome natural light into the space.
Finally, we reinstalled all the media and appliances and decorated the media room to tie it all together.
The Result
We transformed and updated this building inside and out. Our client could rest easy knowing their newly repaired roof was structurally sound, and the meeting room had a completely new look and feel to it thanks to the large window and fresh decoration.
