We got straight to work on this project completing the new roofing and upgrading the walls throughout with insulation and cladding to keep in the heat during winter as well as adding some extra waterproof protection. The one-way pitched roof and the flat roof had originally been installed incorrectly and had asbestos which we needed to address. We installed a new flat roof to create a beautiful warm deck roof. Inside we removed the decorative exposed beams for a cleaner more modern feel but opted to keep the main beams to add a stylish echo of the former design.

Next, replaced the old 10mm glazing and replaced them with 28mm argon glass. Many of the window frames and cladding had begun to rot away which we were able to repair and preserve. We also installed sleek triple sliding doors and triple bi-folding doors to let in plenty of light and breeze on hot days.

Moving onto the inside of the build, we installed a brand-new laminate kitchen, updating the original L-shaped layout to a more aesthetic U-shape using the units to naturally divide the room and utilising the full length of the room below the window. Finally, we changed and checked all the electrical wiring and lighting to better suit the client’s needs and style.

We finished off the project will a complete redecoration to tie everything together beautifully and seamlessly, laying beautiful oak flooring throughout most of the house.
